We need high-quality, affordable health care for all Americans. We must also streamline and modernize the health care system to provide health care efficiently and effectively. And we need strong preventive health care, not only to make Americans healthier, but to make the health care system more economically viable.
A single-payer system is the best solution to the health care crisis. We already have examples of how these plans can work in the Medicare and Federal employees health care systems. The single-payer system is the most efficient and effective delivery method for health care, and Hoyt will fight for this kind of universal health care when he goes to Washington.
